Medical Assistant
Medical Assistants are among the first to care for patients when they visit a medical
office or center. This track is for students who prefer a hands-on, person-to-person
medical career, which involves taking medical histories and vital signs, explaining
treatment procedures and patient prep.
This program includes courses such as:
- MED 150 Clinical Procedures 1 (3 credits)
- MED 160 Laboratory Procedures 1 (3 credits)
- COD 140 Basic ICD-9-CM Coding (4 credits)
Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded an Occupational Associate Degree Medical Professional concentration in Outpatient or Hospital Coding.
