Diploma Professional Coding
Professional coders have to be sharp, organized and analytical. Of course, having the memory of an elephant doesn't hurt either. This is a behind-the-scenes career for someone who prefers to work with patient information rather than patient care.

ATA offers college courses to train you for a career as a Professional Coder, including:
- ANA 101 Anatomy & Physiology (4 credits)
- MED 100 Medical Terminology (4 credits)
- COD 140 Basic ICD-9-CM Coding (4 credits)
ATA is a licensee of the American Academy of Professional Coders. Our graduates have the opportunity to sit for the Certified Professional Coder certification exam (CPC) at ATA.
