Limited Medical Radiography with Medical Assisting (LMRA)

ATA’s LMRA program will train you to provide quality radiographs for physicians and radiologists, prepare patients for radiographic exams and operate radiographic equipment.

ATA’s 17-month Limited Medical Radiography with Medical Assisting program is approved by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Department of Public Health. Graduates are eligible to take the Kentucky Limited Radiography examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, as well as the Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA) offered through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

LMRA program overview:

  • 17-month fast track associate degree program that consists of 102 credit hours
  • 260 hours of offsite x-ray externship experience
  • 180 hours of offsite Medical Assisting externship experience
  • Convenient day class times
