Medical Lab Technicians collect, process and analyze biological specimens. They maintain and operate laboratory equipment, analyze test results, and consult with pathologists to further analyze specimens. MLT's are responsible for following proper procedures in the handling and processing of specimens and for assuring lab safety.
ATA's Medical Laboratory Technician program is a 19-month fast track program that awards an Associate of Applied Science Degree for Medical Laboratory Technician. Our Medical Lab Technician externship gives you the on-site training needed to work in every section of the clinical lab.
